Our favorite Canadian carrier, Telus, is launching another HTC product before everyone -- this time it's the the Libra running Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard. Featuring a full numeric keypad and a slide down QWERTY keyboard, a 2 megapixel shooter, microSD expansion, and stereo Bluetooth, this device is built to please. Click on through for more pics!

I am on my second htc-s720 and going on to my third s720 cause telus is replacing it once again but i find the the phone will last a month and a half to three month and then when u turn it on the phone will freeze on the start up screen and telus will order you and refurbished phone from htc and in the mean time you are phone less for about a week to a week and a half o by the way they also tell you the it should take 2 buissnes days for your new phone to be in..... dont beleive them i know first hand

i am in lost of troble. i ordered the HTC S720 and i'm trying to fit my sim in it!
can u guyz please figure out a way where i can put my sim card? i am lost and i dont wanna do anything wrong with this cell phone. thnx alot

If its a Telus Phone then you dont need a SIM card, they are on the Quallcom network, where as AT&T and rogers are on GSM, allowing us to switch out our SIM cards, but sadly most other carriers do not use SIM cards now.. Verison may pick it up but nothings 100%

My sister got one of these yesterday from tellus when her Moto Q bit the dust.

I was playing with it last night and I found the closeness of the keys and overall lack of heigh differentiation between them made it quite hard to type. Granted that may also be because both of my thumbs on the keyboard, cover the entire thing.

It was also a bit of a bitch navigating the menu while in landscape mode with the keyboard out as you have to hold it in an odd way so that you can manipulate the dpad. I found that while navigating left and right in that position almost every time i would try to hit the dpad, i'd hit the button in the middle instead.

why would you use the dpad when there are arrow keys on the keyboard? wouldn't that be easier and less inconvenient to hold?

I found the keyboard all together inconvenient and subequently didn't notice the arrow keys.

Christian, it has a faster processor, no wifi, different keyboard and different shell. I'd say its a completely different phone. ;-)

nope unfortunately no wifi. I looked at the user guide and specifications on the Telus site and there was no mention of it.

The chipset used in this phone is the Qualcomm MSM7500, which is pretty much the CDMA version of the MSM7200 which is used by HTC Kaiser:

I wonder if the GPS is only software disabled, so that it can be enabled by a little tweaking (like in the HTC Trinity/P3600)...

I ownt the p4000 its the best phone i ever owned i had the palm trio 700wx garbaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaage wifi works great little bit of freezing once and a while but hey i love it anyway the other thing is the battery sucks doesont last half as long as my trio

Is some one selling a unlocked HTC S720. I want to insert the SIM card in the phone and use is as normal
